Handloom Production Lifecycle

Statutory end-to-end tracking from yarn allocation to godown inventory accounting

Phase 01
Yarn Procurement
The society purchases raw yarn (cotton, silk, or synthetic) in hank form from spinning mills or designated wholesalers[cite: 2].
Phase 02
Dyeing & Bleaching
The raw yarn is sent to dyers to be washed, bleached, and dyed into required shades, logging outward/inward stock and dyeing charges in the ERP[cite: 2].
Phase 03
Winding (Charkha)
Dyed hanks are converted into weaving formats; warp yarns are wound onto bobbins and weft yarns onto pirns for shuttles[cite: 2].
Phase 04
Warping
The warp yarns are arranged parallel to each other on a large cylindrical warp beam to establish fabric length and structural base patterns[cite: 2].
Phase 05
Sizing
A protective starchy paste is applied to warp threads (including street sizing) to provide tensile strength against weaving tension[cite: 2].
Phase 06
Drawing-in & Denting
Warp threads are drawn through heddles for pattern control and passed through the reed comb to ensure uniform thread spacing[cite: 2].
Phase 07
Weaving (Looming)
The weaver operates the loom, passing weft yarn through the shed of warp threads using the shuttle to interlace the textile fabric[cite: 2].
Phase 08
Inspection & Mending
The woven fabric undergoes quality auditing where loose threads are trimmed, blemishes identified, and minor defects are mended[cite: 2].
Phase 09
Finishing
The cloth undergoes scouring, calendering between high-pressure rollers for smooth luster, pressing, and statutory folding[cite: 2].
Phase 10
Finished Goods Inventory
The completed textiles receive SKU and batch tags, are booked into the society godown, and prepared for distribution[cite: 2].
